6.5 257 weatherby

I am interested in a 6.5 257 Weatherby. Has anyone made one of these? What are some of your loads?

The 6.5/300 Wby is close and available in a store near you.

I know a guy on this forum, Longtooth32, has at least one 6.5-257 wby barrel.
Maybe you could look him up and PM him to this thread.

I have one here, belongs to a friend. I shot it Wednesday at the range. It was built by McWhorter.

Currently getting good results with 69.0 of H-1000 in a Weatherby case, 215M primer and 140 Berger. I will be working up a bit to see if around 71.0 I can get another node. That will be a few weeks away at this point.

morning, I am missing something on this build?? why build down
on a weatherby build 6.5x257wbee. go up 6.5x7mmwbee then down??
is there a missing link?? I am prejudice, I like a 7mmwbee,

That's almost three times the difference.

morning, and what is .020. take the circumference of .020
divide by 4 is .005 per side. would not pushing down
on the case neck cause a movement in resetting
of the case shoulder?? I buy 270wbee and resize the brass to
257wbee. no problem. just seems easier to go down instead of
up. I think to much. do what makes u happy. justme gbot tum
