Shimming a scope.

I'm pretty sure medium rings would fit. You can buy both and return the ones you don't need. If you buy mediums and then want to exchange them, return them to Burris and they will swap them out. Burris is an awesome company.

Michael do you have to slide the rings on from the end of the base ? I have not yet found another way to get them on the rail

I now ordered a set of the Burris Signature XTR rings for my rifle. The reason being when I went out to see if shimming up the front of the base would help I discovered I was out of windage as well. The rings should be here in a few days and hopefully I can start shooting the gun again.

Your rifle's scope mounting holes were drilled and tapped wrong, or your rifle's barrel or action is so far out of alignment that it needs gunsmith work done to correct it.
