Finished 300wm build

Love the inlaid casing in bolt handle....

Did you come up with that? Clever regardless and adds serious character.

Are you braking it or suppressing?

Solid rig, congrats!
Inlay is a very Nice touch. Hope that's a dummy primer.

Sweet rifle, I am interested in the loads as well. I am playing with H4350. 3 feet of snow on the ground and 4 F degrees now, so about SOL until a break.

I'm curious to find out how it shoots. I'm pushing 210 Partitions out at just over 3000fps with IMR4831. W760 was a bit faster but not as accurate. It likes these 210's and as long as I do my part it will shoot them into an inch all day. 250's don't shoot as well (usually less than 1.5" but not by mych) but the best velocities and accuracy was again with the IMR4831. I haven't tried any of the newer powders, too many other projects going on. This rifle also loves the Hornady 225 flat point bullet, which I use for plinking but I only hunt with the Partitions. It's just a plain jane Ruger 77 although I did have the barrel & action cryo treated years ago. Can't say if it did anything, at least it still shoots the same! Please don't ask for load data as I'm pretty sure it's a bit over book max but no pressure signs and the brass lasts for quite a while. Considering how often I put the hot loads through it, I'm not in the least concerned.
Cheers,
crkckr

Just did a little bit of load testing. Since I had no clue where to start with this powder charge, I started at 76 grains and worked up to 81(compressed) 1 grain at a time just to see where I hit pressure. I never did. I had the chrono on it and 80.5 grains was 2990 with the one shot. So basically I started at 80 and went up in .2 grain increments. I would shoot 3, clean and fire a fouling shot before the next group. It seemed 80.8 seemed to be the sweet spot, that was 2992 avg, SD of 3 and ES of 7. I am basically at sea level so I thought those speeds were decent and will improve with a few rounds. This was new brass also and it grew on avg of about .011, so I need to see what some once fired brass with he shoulder bumped .003 do. Here is the only group at shot I 80.8.
