Rather than dropping another $2k plus on another scope I've been kicking around the idea of using a Spuhr mount so that I can just mount on several rifles. I realize I will still have to zero to each rifle but it would keep me from having to remount using rings every time. I have a Christensen BA and Hells Canyon LR both in 300 WM with very similar ballistics that I would use this on.

I bought a spuhr mount years ago for that very reason. Absolutely do that, if you're going to have a $450 mount, you may as well use it year round.

It seems if that's what you want to do then that's the mount I would use. My only question is how much does a Spuhr weigh? Depends on your type of hunting you do I suppose. No question it's a solid mount though.

You dont need a Spuhr to do what you want Run rails and just switch with a NF type ring. You can site them in for rifle and keep note one zero change, then verify. But I do like my Spuhr think it is 6-8 0z,dont recall

They look cool. Anyone who says this isn't part of it is lying. I like how easy it is to level my scope during install, and the flat topped rings make it very easy to see everything on my turret.

Other than that, the benefit of a one-piece mount is keeping flex in the base from affecting the scope. I do not know how much of an issue base flex or spec intolerance is on custom actions. I would assume my TL3 base sits more stress-free than my Seekins did on my factory 700.

This could all be crap, I don't know. I talked with the guys at mile high a couple weeks ago when I bought my first Spuhr and what I mentioned above it what was told to me. It makes sense. Whether or not it's "better" than individual rings may be specific to the types of shooting one does.

I agree with you do not need a Spuhr to move a scope from rifle to rifle. I run a 20MOA Picatinny rail on every rifle I own. I also run Seekins rings on every scope I own. It is a matter of 3 minutes to move a scope from one rifle to another.

Like how sleek on side also
