Can someone give me a starting load with reloader 16, 143 eldx, cci200, and hornady brass? I was thinking of starting at 40 grains but didn't know if that was too low. Thanks

RL16 charges are very similar if not the same as H4350. I'd work up in .3 grain increments from 41 grains looking for accuracy around 41.8 - 42.1 grains. You'll probably start seeing pressure around 42.5 grains.

I really wanted it to work due to the added velocity. However it was not as good as h4350. I started around 41 grains of rl16 and worked up to 43 or 43.5 I believe.

What was you best group or load with rl16 even though it didn't work out for you?

First, the bullets shot best .015 off the lands. I length test first. I had a good load with 40.5 or 41. I don't remember. However, the velocity was too slow for my liking. It was with a x bolt hells canyon speed. My best group was around or below a half inch at 100. My 4350 load was under a dime at 100 yds. If you have any other questions let me know!

Reloader 26, if you can find some, will get me 2,890 fps out of a 22" barrel with the 143 ELD-X. No pressure signs with my load so far. My tests took place at 31 deg F, so I will run the load again if it ever stops snowing and warms up.

I contemplated with using rl26, but I just wasn't sure about using it with a 22 inch barrel. It also wasn't my gun. My philosophy was to make it shoot like a creedmoor and not some other cartridge that shoots 2900 FPS. This may or may not make sense. I saw up to 2800+ with a stiff load of rl16 with no pressure, but accuracy just wasn't there.

Thanks for all the info guys. I'm just trying to achieve 2700-2750 with around 1/2 to 3/4 moa, not looking for a screamer here. With this setup I'll keep my shoots within the 500 yard mark. If I think a longer shot is possible depending on the terrain I would bring my 7 rem mag.

Put the 143s at .050" off, dump 41.8-42 grains of RL16 in the case, and prime with a Fed 210(M). I'd be surprised if you don't find what you're looking for

I'm getting 2850 FPS with the Berger 140 elite hunter and RL 16 in Starline Brass with no pressure signs and a 22" tube. Not apples to apples but 2800+ is there with RL 16 if you can find the right combo for your rifle.
