Wilson's world record-setting 5-shot group measured 1.068 inches or, in angular terms, a stunning 0.102 minutes of angle (MOA). He even managed to land all five rounds in the center X-ring for a perfect score. (The previous 5-shot, light gun IBS record, set in 2007, measured 1.397 inches.)

Regardless of the conditions, Wilson joked, a one-inch group at 1,000 yards likely requires some divine intervention.

it is not an odd powder for the 6 br family, but you want vapor trail bullets, GET IN LINE. there has been a line for a long time. he was also shooting the older 12-42x nightforce...which happens to have a great reputation in spite of the 15-55x being on the market.
great job!

Yeah, I still use the old NF 12-42. BR

no spotting
but they shoot VERY FAST
it is an attempt to get shots off before the condition changes.
the beginning of a 5 shot match often sounds like a machine gun.
lite gun is 5, heavy is 10 shots per target
i have never timed a 5 shot gun, but there is a video of a heavy getting 10 shots off in aprox 12 SECONDS.
each match has 2 winners small group and high score, you cannot win both.
in this case he won small group( group is always first up) someone else won high score, even with a lower score..its the rules.
for records, he has two, high score with a 1.0 group and small group with a score of 50.

Not familiar with this competition. Do they tell you where each shot hits. If they do, I would have blown the fourth shot and missed the target with the 5th.
