Having owned a 6.5x284 and currently owning a Creed if I was buying a 6.5 now it would be the PRC over either of those .I handload so having to shoot factory is off the table and the specs of the cartridge are just better in my opinion. I like my Creed just wish it had more oomph

You do not need an intermediate, since the defiance has about .400 more inlet with wyatts extended cut.

I'm thinking of picking up a new rifle. Was thinking a 300wm but the 6.5s are catching my attention.

I think the case design of the prc is better. Honestly I found the 6.5x284 somewhat finicky to load for so that skews my thinking a little bit. I viewed lapua brass as a pro and a con
After the barrel went I rebarrelled to 280ai for something heavier in a standard LA and paper punch with the Creed in an xlr chassis

Absolutely beautiful rifle build. I've decided on a 6.5 PRC too. It just seems more useful than a creed. Good to see so many Coloradans in this post. Mile high is a great shop. I've only had them do a little work but it was done well and in a timely fashion. They are getting most of my work from now on. **** fine rifle.

You're gonna be blown away by how accurate its gonna be. My Deviant XM, Proof 26in Sendero, no brake was 1/2 MOA with factory stuff, not even breaking a sweat. I'm shooting the first hand loaded groups today, 58.9 gr H1000 over 143 ELDX.
