O.K. I'm borderline annoying at this point but,

What do use for elk hunting?

Similar to the elk cartridge thread except this one doesn't limit you to a particular cartridge.

.284 over 2,800 FPS... In 2002 I specifically ordered my first Sendero SF 7mm STW for elk hunting with my father. Unfortunately, due to health reasons he was never able to go, therefore we never booked a trip. So...Still never been.

I went with 308 over 2800 with 168-200+. It seems to work! Im really starting to love the 7 stw! Mudrunner put in for MT bull and cow I'd be willing to show you around!

I'd love to, but I have no money. Work has been rough around here the last couple years, so money's a bit on the tight side...Barely scraping by as it is, no room for luxuries. I haven't even been deer hunting this year, and I got 60 acres I can hunt (belongs to a buddy) that's 5 minutes down the road.

That's a lie, you know we do not have elk here in Montana.
What's the matter Ed? I'd figure you'd be all for it, that way yall can invite me up there, and then I'd suffer a horrendous hunting "accident" where I fell down a ravine, and nobody can prove whether I was actually pushed or not...

I'm sure there's quite a few people that would like to be in on that hunting trip.
