Does anyone know who made the stainless barrels for the Armalite AR10T in the early 2000's?
I was told that bartlein made them at some point but there are no markings on mine.
It's a 17" stainless with rifle length gas system.

IDK if bartlein sells an oem style barrel
I have a RC barrel but a different tw than his M24 contract barrels. It is a fast barrel shoots fggm 175hp, 2704-2722 with the slow lot and 2737-2749 with the faster lot. Hornady match 178bthp shoots into the same zero and has the same speed as the slower lot I have on hand. The boxes of everything say's 2600fps for reference. Most of my students running 5r 700's run closer to 2550 with both lots with much higher extreme spreads. I'd guess due to bore finish and typical factory misgivings.

The favorite Armalite AR10 of my 2 has a Noveske 18" stainless on it, the other is AR10T stainless with no markings other than twist rate and 17" in length. I guess I will have to go shoot the 10t to see if the barrel is accurate enough to feed her good ammo and if not maybe try a new barrel on that one.

maybe remeasure..17" seems like a very odd number.
i have a "real" ar10-t from the late 90's with a 24" ss bbl.
calling anything shorter a "t" just seems like marketing.

I agree a true target should be in the 20's. I read that to market a lighter ar10t in the early 2000's they started marketing them shorter and lighter. I believe this one started as an 18" and got threaded and recrowned and now it's 17". The guy I got it from didn't know much about it, he just said under 40 rounds through it. He was shooting 147gr british ammo through it though so I'm already thinking the barrel probably didn't get proper break in so it will probably get rebarreled soon, with what I dont know yet.
I already have a heavy 13lb long range ar10 so probably go carbine on the ar10t?
