The old 25-06 Remington and 270 Winchester shot flatter than 6.5 CM

The Creed hate is strong with a lot of people for some reason. I don't get it. To me it is a very well designed and marketed round. Is the 260 equal? In most cases I would say yes. Performance wise it definitely is. The areas where I think the Creed is better, to me, is shorter oal, better design (case taper and shoulder angle) and it was spect 1-8 twist barrel, and brass and ammo availability.
Its always funny to see apples to oranges comparisons between cartridges. I bet the results would be very different with a 140 vld at 3k.

The creedmoor also goes better with a flat bill hat and skinny jeans - thats why I bought my 11 yr old son one. I still like that nice curve on the bill of my hat and some relaxed fit jeans - 260 seems to fit my style.

I really like this guy. I don't agree with everything he says.

I just watched this - it was painful as hell. I wish I could have the that 9min back. So many thoughts running through my mind right now - I wouldn't say this was 100% BS, maybe 80%. It seems the biggest critics of the 6.5s in any cartridge for hunting are the ones who have never used them. Those that use them, generally love them.

haha I not sure I would compare him to Obama lol! I think he really likes the 300 Weatherby. Someone said earlier that he was bitter about the 7mm wapiti express and I bet thats right. He's got no idea what he's talking about as far as what? gun smithing or long range shooting/hunting??? I know a lot of people like this and I have been proven wrong time and time again by these guys. 31 year old and I'm learning that they're mostly right lol

One of the challenges with old school dudes is sometimes they are stuck in the past with old bias and outdated components. Bullet technology has come a long ways since he was in his prime. Doesn't mean he is out of touch - just means he could be. Looks likes its probably been a while since he was out hiking up and down mountains chasing game...

People hate the Creedmoor for the same reason I dislike the 270win or Glocks. There are supporters who shoot these who state that they are the greatest thing ever made, refuse to hear anything against it factual or otherwise, and if you disagree with them well f*** you...In all honesty I would probably hate the Creedmoor too if I hadn't been shooting one since before their explosion in popularity. It's a great short action cartridge but it's not the end-all-be-all.

Ha ha... I resemble those remarks... Just remember time waits for no one and you will be that age one of these days too; seems to come on sooner than you think.

I am old and stuck in my ways... but ...recently I even bought the parts and put a 6.5 Creedmoor together. Guess it will fit between the 6 mm remington and the .270, now to do a 6.5 PRC. Oh yea, no skinny jeans here... and my baseball cap bills are curved. 6 ft 220 lbs and 75 years young. Grew up with Elk in the hay meadow across from the house every day of the summer in Montana.

And the only people I hear making outrageous claims for the 6.5 Creed are the haters on this sight. The ones that actually have one and use them on this sight, seem to be pretty darn realistic in their comments and the ranges they take game at.

I bet he's a good hunter, I bet he builds nice guns and shoot well. My issue is it seems like his distaste for certain things is 100% emotional and not based in practical issues/data.

He has a bullet technology video where he says how much he hates Berger because they are target bullets and the same things as Sierra match kings and goes on a 10 minute rant about how there has been no advancement in bullet technology whatsoever then praises the Nosler LRAB for its incredible BC... which they had to devalue because it was inflated....

Father time is undefeated thats for sure. I am sure I will be there sooner rather than later...like I said earlier, the haters are usually the ones who have never used them. I lump my 260 in with the creed - I am more and more impressed the more I shoot it and hunt with it.

Y'all need to get your "hater-ade" game up I've tried wearing hats with my man bun and it's super uncomfortable. Gotta pick one or the other guys.

My pants are only skinny around the waist these days though, I sent a button across the bedroom last week...:(

Agreed it is definitely not the end all be all. It is one of the best in its performance category.
I don't get the hate it because it's cool or the "in" thing at the moment. I too dislike Glocks, not because of the supporters but because they don't fit my hands well. No love for the 270 or 25-06 for that matter for the simple reason that they don't have a good selection of bullets.

Just about everything hornady puts out is substandard. Whether it's bullets brass powder dispensers or the 6.5 creedmore. I really wish hornady made top end stuff but they make middle of the road crap. Im only 150 miles from grand island where they are based. It would be a good deal if their brass and bullets were better since their access is immediately available to me. I've said it before, the creedmore is good at a few things but its great at absolutely nothing. Prs guys like it for the relatively decent ballistics while maintaining reliable feeding in a short action.
