so I've been loading my 6.5 for a while with the Berger 140gr VLD-h's And they normally always exit the deer weather I hit them in the nexk or shoulder, finally got my hands on the Berger 135gr. Classic Hunters looks like the BC is almost the same what's yalls openions on the classic hunters accuracy wise and performance?

They have been just as accurate as VLD's in my gun. I had to do more test loads than normal to get the accuracy I wanted but likely due to the individual rifle.

We shot a Bighorn Sheep and a cow elk with 135gr classic hunters. Both expanded and did a ton of internal damage. The bullet passed through the sheep but I recover both from the elk just under the off side hide. I will post picture later. I have been pleased so far.

A friend has shot a lot of deer with the classic hunter and they all performed well. They seem to be more consistent performance(expansion) than the VLD's but not a very big sample size to say it is true.

The 135 CLassic Hunter is my go to in the 6.5 PRC in 25" barrel! the BC isn't as good as VLD 140 but the Vel gain it actually shoots flatter to 900y.
Took one cow elk and one antelope with it this year with very impressive results!

I took a deer and antelope this year with the 135gr classic hunter. The antelope was at 375 yards. The exit was a golf ball sized. Only taken two head of game with them but so far they have gotten the job done quite will. I see they are just starting to come back in stock at a few places on line. Supplies are still very limited though.

I like the 135 classic hunters, first WT doe I shot at 498 yds in lungs went 20 yards & stood shaky until she dropped no exit & mush for lungs. WT buck I shot last year in neck dropped on the spot at 55 yards no exit. coyote I shot at 300 yards left a quarter sized exit hole. I shoot the 135 classic hunters in my 6.5 competition rifle for short range varmint shoots (200-300 yard) as they are very accurate. they worked but honestly they tend to not mushroom but fragment & lose a lot of weight.
