I'm looking for the most effective hunting size side baffle brake for a 300 Norma mag.
I'm planning on the finished rifle weight being around 9 lbs scoped, and don't want a gigantic heavy brake
I'm really wanting to go titanium, I have a JP 3 port Ti on a 7mm that works pretty good.
just wondering if there's something more efficient out there.

I have an older 4 port Muscle brake that really tames my 30/375 S.I. It was formally a Jim See design and now sold by Ryan Pierce.
I don't get a lot of rearward blast like some brakes either.

I use a vg6 gamma precision muzzle brake. It's small, effective, and sends everything straight out the sides and a little bit up. It's about 2.5 to 3 in. long.

I paid $50 for it.

I know there is a Ti Beast brake in the works, a slabbed beast is awesome sauce, 4 port Muscle brake is decent but the 5 port suxs. Terminator brakes are good.
How would you rate the beast vs the muscle brake vs the terminator?
Thanks

Make sure you were hearing protection because the brakes reduce recoil but seem to increase muzzle blast ! I put one on a 300 Win. Mag. and about blew the only good ear I have out ! It increased the lose that I have in it ! HUH ? Also make sure everyone around you are protecting their ears before you fire any firearm !

I have a 300 RUM that weighs about 12 lbs and has a MBM 4 port brake on it and it works really well. I replaced an older radial style brake with this one and I never regretted it. With that setup lying prone or on a bench I can always spot my hits even at closer ranges.

I certainly would look at all the testing on this site. I use the Assassin brakes on all my rifles. Do they work? I built a 378 Weatherby Improved for my son 3 years ago. He was 15 at the time. The cartridge holds 142 grains of powder. He is more accurate with that rifle than the 7mm-08. All brakes work at eliminating recoil. Some do better than others.

The brakes highlighted in the above video are reasonably priced.

The Holland Radial brake is highly thought of by the specialty pistol group, but it is in the $150 price range.

Elk Meadow Performance makes a Titanium one inch angled, radial ported, three port brake that works great on the 300 Norma mag. Threaded 5/8- 24 weighs about 1 ounce. These are for Proof bbls or large dia. steel bbls.
I think he may have a few one inch wide, flat, angle ported three port TI brakes designed for a #3 or #4 bbl. .8 ounce. 801-232-5833

As another option, grizzly gunworks will make you an aluminum or steel brake, I have one, works well and is quite solid while being light. The defcon does produce enough rear blast but is very effective. The grizzly works well with minimal side blast
