I just wanted to give a shoutout to all of our left handed freaks of nature, like myself, that shoot a RH rifle. It's just worked for all these years and I couldn't see changing it. Never had any issues.

As a lefty, early on I learned guitar right handed. A few years back I bought a lefty Strat and tried to learn. It was awful. In short, if it ain't broke don't fix it.

As bad as that may seem, I have a friend that is forced to use his left eye because his dominant right, is weak! cheers, all

Same boat-- tried to make the switch to lefty rifles and just can't seem to make it worth it. I do have one righty rifle that just won't fit. Beautiful old R700 BDL but the angle and the cheek piece just make it unenjoyable.

Was primarily a lefty....worked very hard to become ambidextrous..then suffered a injury to my left hand and shoulder...now shoot RH as a rule...am back up to 90% on my left hand.... better than expected...did give me more rifles to shoot, without getting a casing in the forehead for the stock semi auto's :)

I think there was a stock maker...on the net that did right side rifles with LH fitting stocks...or at least I think I saw one...will look to see if I might have book marked it.

There's two stories of adapting, way tougher than mine!
Yes, the presence of a cheekpiece is a drawback, no doubt.

Fascinating thing about long gun shooting... the techniques translate over to my handgun shooting and my archery. Every bit of practice of one, helps the other.

Boyd's makes a laminate lefty thumb hole for a right hand bolt gun.

I'm a lefty and have used right guns most my life, no choice in the military. I prefer a right hand rifle that will be shot mostly prone. However, my hunting weight rifles have started transitioning to lefty. Got tired of "settling", having to break stock or shoulder when running the bolt. The problem is that most factory rifles I would like own do not come in left hand models.

I'm RH but left eye dominant. Been shooting lefty since day one...a bow is harder bc of the strength needed but my body got used to it.

For shotgun shooting it is much easier to use dominant eye - shotguns are much more instinctive than aiming like a rifle.

LH rifles makes it a pain to find guns unless you go custom. I have a RH bolt 28N woth ambi stock that I bought due to lead time before an elk hunt. I have a true lefty 280AI, and I have a true RH 6.5cr that I bought with a short LOP for my son. I can shoot all of them equally well.

Follow the dominant eye, not the dominant hand.

Also right handed and left eye dominant. Never even shot a left handed rifle though. Never saw the need. I shoot everything lefty. Rifle, shotgun, pistol and bow.
