The title just about says it all and many may know this already, but it is really easy to carry out 2 front quarters (rear, if your a beast!) by keeping the hide intact between them, from the top of the back. Keeping the hide side against the back of your neck and over your shoulders, it makes a very comfortable sling. I used this for my first elk when I was young and was alone... first trip out was 2 slung front quarters and a pack full of tenderloin/loin. cheers

Sorry, couldn't find the old pix but I edited this image to get the idea.

For the front quarters, imagine leaving the hide intact along the back, for the 2 left cuts and keep the hide attached to the outside of the quarters. Same for rear. That strip of hide left intact, is nice padding and a great way to keep from getting bloody.

That's pretty nifty.
In Colorado you have to keep proof of sex. So where do you let them dangle, front or the back?:D

Great point that's easily overlooked. Of course, he or she be hanging sex on the rear quarter. I tell you though, it works pretty well. We learned it from a camp host at our first caribou hunt. cheers

Yeah...i was curious if you were just skinning the out side and rubbing nuts on yourself..........sorry...couldnt resist....
