7mm blaser mag?

Who has built a 7mm blaser magnum or improved? Looking for gunsmith and anything unique about this round.

I have a christiansen monte carlo LA stock, proof research carbon 24" 1:8 barrel, lengendary arms works m704 action.

Have not decided on bullet, but probably 175-195 berger.

There are a couple of threads on this forum. Use the search function and post in them or read through them. You may find what you are after. I keep thinking this looks like a great cartridge. I am surprised it has not taken off.

Ive done every search i can think of and read them all. Thanks for the wisdom. Can i assume you have ZERO experience with the 7mm blaser?

Often i have read something and later try to search and cant ever find again, so the search is fine but not without fault.

I have seen a couple smiths mentioned in various other caliber discussions. Why not compile them or links in one?

This is the one I would start with. No I have no personal experience. It does have the same capacity as the 7 Rem Mag but I would expect it to hold pressure a little better.

Beltless 7mm Rem Mag...only reason it hasn't taken off is because it does nothing the 7mm rem mag doesn't already do with cheaper and better brass and dies.

Yes but it will allow you to seat bullets where they should be and still be under the 3.4" magazine limits of many actions. Obviously this is irrelevant in a 700. This would be a great cartridge for a Tikka.

That as well as creedmoorish (probably splitting hairs but...) more speed with less powder and less recoil

It is not going to outrun a 7mm Rem Mag all else being equal. What it will do is equal the performance in a shorter fatter package.

I have no experience with it but I have a 6.5 mm version of it in progress. I have the brass, barrel, bullets, stock, resize reamer and die, drawing for the chamber reamer, action has been ordered. I think it is the perfect size case for a hotrod 6.5. Here is a comment I made in a discussion on here 4 years ago.

Blaser made a nice 6.5mm case and put a 7mm bullet in it.

Nosler made a nice 7mm case and put a 6.5mm bullet in it.

Remington made a nice 338 case and put a 30 cal bullet in it. Then they made a nice 30 cal case and put a 338 bullet in it.

Someone has fixed the issues I mentioned except the Blaser and the Remington 30 caliber case. I decided to have a little fun and do one of them myself.

Same speed on less powder, stock. Improved version i believe is faster (possibly on less too)

This is what im hoping to find out. Need to find the right smith and start moving forward

Regular 7 blaser with 230 freebore will push 180s over 3100fps w/ 26" barrel and push 195 over 3k. 7 rem mag in most situations can't do that

With a reamer with the same freebore and running the same pressures you can bet your last dollar that a 7 rem mag will do that.
