Hello. Been on this site many times and decided today was the day. I live in the southwest and enjoy being in the middle of nowhere within 30 minutes. Long range has been a passion of mine for a couple decades ever since a huge bull elk walked away from reach across a 600 yard canyon. Since then I've had many different rifles, calibers and scopes but have settled a couple years ago on one specific caliber. I think I even recently found the rifle and scope combo I prefer to hunt with. I'm a mechanical engineer so I'm always trying to do it another way or a better way so time will tell. I do have an interest in another rifle already but if I pull the trigger on it the caliber will remain 7mm Rem. Mag.

Well I'm no expert, but I have a 7mmRM loaded 72 grains of retumbo and a 168 berger vld . It's coming out of an older Rem sendero. I practice out to 1000 yards with it and have been pleased. Last year I had to opportunity to kill my first bull at 796 yards across a canyon here in so Idaho. I was amazed by the performance when he hit the dirt with twp broken shoulders. 7mmRM fan now for sure.
