Hey all, new to the forum but log time follower. I'm getting ready to build my cheytac after careful planning on all the other components I'm left with the action. I'm struggling to decide if I want to go with Stiller or BAT. But then I stumbled across the JJ Rock action. Can anyone shed some light on this? For almost a grand more than the other two is it really that much better?

You might want to ask over at the hide. There are quite a few guys over there shooting the huge ELR boomers.

I Shoot all my 375 and Cheytac based cases off the BAT CT and BAT model L actions
unbelievable quality and great guys to deal with
The CT actions I have made for my application for keeping them under 16# with optics and bipod and the L I use for extreme distance and were weight is no concern
i've never actually seen a JJROCK but hear good things. but for me BAT has been in the game so long and built to my specs its hard to go else where.

This is interesting, I've heard of the JJ Rock but never seen one (or their price). I've had a BAT and now have a Stiller 408 action, happy with either. Be interesting to know why that action is 70% + more.

I'm also interested in the price being what it is!! it basically looks identical to a BAT CT octagon action but the length of an L !!!

The JJ Rock action uses a breech ring for the lug seats, lug cams and feed ramp. It's a smaller diameter ring made from 17-4 PH and fits snugly into a recess in the receiver similar in style and use as the GAP Tempest and the Badger Ordnance M2013. The Tempest if pictured below.

As to why JJ Rock is so much more expensive, They just wanted to jump out in front of the other competitors and appear to be the best because of cost. The curiosity of why the cost, drives shooters and gunsmiths to their website which increases their advertising value to the stupid websites like Facebook. Other than that, there is little to no advanced technology or metallurgy to warrant the increase in cost. It simply separates them from everyone else. I have one in the shop but I don't have time right now to explore it in its entirety. I also have the Stiller and Bat actions as well.

BAT CT Built for me by BAT to my specs, benchmark light Idaho contour 1-8 twist 32" finish manners carbon fiber stock jewel trigger bat guard T4 brake weighs just a shade over 15# with bipod.
runs the 350 lazer @3244fps.
That's exaxtly what I was looking for! What specs are the action? You can pm if you would rather. I'm trying to stay on the lighter side
