H. R. 7115 Parts Kits & 3D Ban

Bill introduced to ban 80% percent receiver kits, semi automatic parts kits and 3D printing of gun parts. Known as the 3D Gun Bill, it will be presented as "common sense" legislation by the media. It will be one of many upcoming bills to ban ownership of "assault weapons" on both federal and state levels.

Is there a grandfather clause? Or if it passes is this gonna be like CA's 80% bill that requires you to submit an application for filing a serial number to authorities? You got a link to the bill?

It's just another step in the wrong direction. The liberals never stop trying to advance their agenda of total confiscation and they are happy with every tiny step in that direction. It is not likely this bill will pass, but some catastrophe will force the wussy hands of left leaning republicans and some compromise will. The sad reality is that most conservatives are content to "keep what they have". No gun grabbing legislation is ever removed and more is added a little at a time. Trump has already vowed to ban "bumpstocks" which could literally end up being anything. The two years of unprecedented republican control of the legislative and executive branch ended up with absolutely nothing. It is only a matter of time till the liberals get their way unless we start getting rid of these limp -wristed career politicians and elect some real leaders.

I agree that stocking up is a feasible course of action at all times.

So here they are criminalizing the ownership of an object (your firearm)

"(3) BAN ON POSSESSION OR TRANSFER OF FIREARM WITHOUT SERIAL NUMBER.—It shall be unlawful for any person, in or affecting interstate or foreign commerce, to possess or transfer a firearm made after 1968 by a person who is not a licensed manufacturer," - So what about bolt guns made by say Lawton machine or some other company that does not exist anymore? I have always said that they will be coming after bolt guns as well. This pretty much proves it.

They are only giving 10 days to comply

"(B) within 10 days after the issuance, the serial number and identifying mark is stamped on or otherwise permanently affixed to the firearm"

So they are going to demand that millions of lawful firearms owner get a stamp within 10 days or they are suddenly a criminal? Is getting a serial number on one rifle in 10 days even possible???

And they want to criminalize advertising as well. I never thought I would see the day when a lawmaker is dumb enough to propose this:

"..and the marketing or advertising of such castings or blanks and kits on any medium of electronic communications.."

Here comes the worst part

"(2) the term "assault weapon parts kit" means any part or combination of parts designed and intended to enable a consumer who possesses all such necessary parts to assemble a semiautomatic assault weapon;"

So replacement parts for your AR will be criminalized if I read this correctly.

We need to start e-mailing and calling our Senators and House reps, more emphasis on the Senate.

Common sense and the Left seem to be parting ways more and more every day. I was taken back when I heard Sen. Kamala Harris compare ICE agents to the KKK during a hearing yesterday. I hate to think what America will become if Dems like her get to be President. We are doomed if the Electoral College is ever ended.

I think gun control will take a back seat in the rush to have hearings on everything related to Trump at least for the next year. Then it will be full on against the 2nd Amendment as they think the tide is turning in their favor with the losses of NRA backed candidates in the 2018 mid terms.

It also bans you from being able to discuss guns, hunting, or anything like that on the internet. So, not only does this bill want to destroy the 2nd Amendment, it wants to destroy the 1st Amendment, as well. Whoever wrote that unconstitutional bill needs to be tossed into GBay forever. That bill is 100% treason.

Isn't it insane how nuts the liberals are about guns? I think they secretly have a fetish-type crush on guns, as much as they talk about hating them and banning them... Sort of like that person that always talks about how much they hate homos, seems to have some unresolved tendencies themselves... That's why I think the Dems/Libs have a secret crush and obsession with guns. They secretly like them, but don't understand their own feelings towards them.

This is pretty bad when paired with the new anti semi auto legislation just introduced. Even if your rifle is grandfathered you won't be able to get replacement parts. We need to get our representatives notified
