Don Tencati at Grasslands Gun Repair in Tracy, Ca. He built this 7mm Rem Mag for me. Stiller action, Carbon Six barrel, Jewel trigger, Mcmillon stock and NF ACTAR.

Alex wheeler builds a hell of a rifle

I am having Barry Davis at Micro Groups out of Bayfield, Colorado build one for me. My buddy has 4 built by Barry and all are tack drivers. Anyone else have a Micro Groups rifle?

Mike Davis. Davis custom rifles in North Carolina. Does all machining on his own. Small operation with great precision. I have five of his rifles all shooting 1/4 moa. He has built over 30 record bench guns in the past and set a few of those records himself. Used to do it for close friends as a hobby now is full time and producing great rifles. If mike tells you something as far as wait time you can count on it. Great guy.

Well, that seemed pretty evident from the OP and the discussion that followed.

Didn't seem the least bit hypothetical to me but then my dad used to pose questions in the same manner.

Alamo Precision built me a 300 win mag that shoots pretty darn good. 3 shot groups off a bipod with a rolled up sweatshirt under the butt. Left pic @ 300, right @ 100

Another load development and break in for Davis custom rifles. 300 win mag. Stiller tac 300 action, McMillan game hunter bedded stock. Proof lite 24" finished length carbon barrel. Hs gen two box magazine. Trigger tech trigger. First time gun was fried I cleaned and oiled before first shot. Followed that with three single shoot and cleaning. There was no fouling so I moved on to two shots them cleaning until I reached ten rounds. The rounds were grouping great even cleaning between shots. I went next day with same load 190 vld hunting with speed at 2948 I shot six rounds through a clean barrel. 100 yds. Gun is ready to go. Above is a six shot group.
