Help- I'm new to scope dialing and am a little perplexed at initial results.

Rl26 24" and danzac coated. ES 6 @10 shots. It was a factory savage I step lapped to create some choke. It would shoot factory ammo 50-100fps faster than the box it came from said.
To the OP my #2 contour with the shv is 1.82 and I cannot fit a scope lenses cap on it without removing the bottom of said cap. This is with the sunshade on as well.
The data I put earlier I have 2.1" for scope height and that is about as low as possible with a typical .800 muzzle diameter factory taper. A target taper would be higher still. This matters somewhat an 1/8th to 3/16 won't kill you but it helps get your solver closer faster if your right on the money with your static inputs

Good to know about the scope to bore height, I can stop using my calipers and just use an accurate ruler......didn't know it was that flexible..Thanks, rsbhuter

I'm thinking he has MOA turrets but perhaps the scope Mfg.s rounded up the clicks to IPHY?
Nightforce uses a 112 thread per inch turret to have a repeatable accurate moa correction. They have 10 moa per revolution in the shv.

Ur N/F scope will have a minimum height of 1.75". Make sure u measure from the ctr of ur bore to the ctr of the scope.

Is this the ballistic data that you entered MOJO67? This is where i saw the 1.0 sight height....i know on any of my rifles, my sight height is closer to 1.80 up to 2.125 ....might not make the difference at 500 or 600, just thought it needed to accurate to 1/8" or so...rsbhuter

That Ballistic AE app he's running. He can go down on the app and touch the velocity bar. It will let you true the velocity by plus or minus bullet impact at the yardages being shot.
