Seems like the 140 VLD Hunting is the universal choice for a hunting bullet.

A little update, while processing the meat I was able to recover part of the first bullet. It was lodged in the rib on the opposite side of the animal. The bullet did make a pass through, I guess these are some of the pieces that it shed on the way out. The combined weight is 38 grains.

I am always looking to improve performance. What long range hunting bullet would you recomend?
