Using drone to scout for animals?

How do you feel about thermal scopes/night vision to detect animals on the pre-dawn hike to a blind or scouting spot?

That is not a (drone) that is a RC airplane that can be made with foam bord from walmart.

Same thing if you mount a camera on it. Multi rotor is a RC helicopter without the camera. Back in the day we made good money chasing Snow Geese out of wheat fields with RC Airplanes painted like eagles after the season closed. Now we have spring season which is much more effective. Not sure if it is more fun or not though

Illegal in our State. Good thing. Saves me a few grand for another rifle build... Would be cool to have one for tracking after dark though. Maybe.

I'd like to know how they can prove your scouting with a drone and not just recreationally flying it, so I say who gives a ****. I have no use for drones and I'm likley to shoot down any drone above my property especially if kids are outside but I think people have the right to fly them. It's funny that a helicopter with thermal can be used by wardens to spot humans hunting legally to put food on the table but a hunter cant use a helicopter without thermal, just a camera, to spot deer.

There is no difference if they both have cameras in the context of using them to spot game animals

Here it has to do with "Known Game Cover" . All the evidence they need for an arrest and a CONVICTION.

Correct. The actual difference between RC Airplanes / helicopters and drones is the actual upload/download telemetry link. RC is a one way link and Drones are two way. This is another lifelong hobby of mine.

In an earlier post about drones I said as a joke that if they came into my air space they would be shot down ! Someone replied that I would be in hot water for doing so and would be arrested and also have to pay damages ! But thinking it over, what gives them the right to fly them over my private property ? What if we wanted to skinny dip ? I think this would be an invasion of privacy ! They shouldn't be allowed to spy on you or see what you have on your property through the use of a drone ! These are my feelings !
