Well, if I didn't make a small error with slightly too long of an action screw for about 75 rounds, It would have been used to kill things this year. Had to do new load works ups since I was chasing my tail with weird groups. All it took was slight pressure on the bolt to make me scratch my head for awhile.
Dang I feel your pain, the day before I went hunting I noticed my base was loose on the 7x300 wsm, I over tightened a screw and snapped it off.
I had that thing dialed, and now it's waiting for a smith to re-tap it..

I don't usually post my big game kills on here but I just got my first bull over 400 yards, shattered it really.. 940 yards with a 147 ELD M from my 6.5 SAUM.
I shot him cross canyon at a 25 degree upward angle, I hit about 3" high the bullet blew through the rear part of the shoulder and scapula bone, clipped the top of the lungs and shattered the spine.
if you look at the photo of me shooting the bull was in the top left of the clearing near the timberlineView attachment 108272

Yep great shot. I shot an antelope at 647 yards last summer with a GA Precision in 6.5 saum Berger 140 vld bullet. The bullet blew out the entire front quarter. I absolutely love the round!
