I got my first elk ever in WY last Friday morning. Three of us got cow elk tags and were hunting with Bear Track Outfitters in Buffalo last week. Last day of the hunt, all three of us connected! My friend and I got a double within 10-15 seconds of each other at 370 yards, after a nice mile climb/hike. I used my 7mm08 with Nosler 140 grain E-tips. 1 shot through the lungs and she went down in less than 30 seconds...

Congrats, that's some good eating. I leave in two days, four of us after Az cow elk.

Some good eating right there. I leave a week from tomorrow to help a friend get his first elk

Congrats guys! Glad you were successful, had a good time...

Nice shootin! This gets me pumped. Leaving this Friday for Wyoming, hunting south of kaycee with triple 3 outfitters. Got a cow elk and antelope tag.

JMack,
Best of luck!

the hunter,
Yes that's a S&B Klassik 3-12x42 precisión hunter model with the 3.2 mil elevation dial. I dialed up 1.2 mils and it was dead on!

Congrats !
That is some beautiful country. I visited Story and Sheridan several times but it's been some years ago.
Knew a guide in Story,,,,Archie McCarty. I believe he is passed on now.
Anyway, you guys had a great hunt,,,good shooting too !
