My first build

I have been watching some videos on turning a stock rifle into a tac driver thru bedding and trigger upgrades . However the factory stock had aluminum bedding block or pillars in it . But it's definitely a option I'm considering, thank you

If it is a factory tupperware stock other than practice it isn't worth the time and effort. A walnut stock will benefit from pillars though.

Check out the GRS Berserk stocks. well priced, fully adjustable and LOVE the grip on mine.

Is that a Howa 1500 barreled action? Please Bergara, Tikka barreled actions from you two would blow out of the water.

I did this build on an extreme budget, components in Australia are pretty expensive in comparison. A second hand / donor tikka t3 is still up around the $800AUD mark, whereas I got this 1500 barreled action for about $500 brand new. It's only a .243 for target.
My next build will be a much better quality rig in a .30 or .338

However, my cheap little Howa rings steel at 1000yrd no worries, so it suits me for learning the LR trade.

If you rebarrel that to a 7.5 twist 243 the 110 serria and various 105grn+ bullets will shoot very well out to substantial distances. Seeing splash with the 6mm's is tough if not in a dust enviroment though compared to 30 n up bullets
