Do any of you have a Spartan 300 bipod or a Javelin? Where did you buy it and are you aware of any dealers in the US?

I can't get a straight answer out of the UK on these things.

I got mine for xmas. Not sure where it was ordered from. My brother is friends with the owner so if you can't find what you are looking for he can probably help you out. Just send me a PM if you need some help.

Regards, Branden

I believe the product is good but their website and customer (prospective) support is abysmal. I tried to order and get a couple of questions answered and after 4 days someone responded back and partially answered one of my questions and then would never respond again. I was hoping for a US dealer that could actually answer some questions and stock the accessories. That is my biggest concern. Once I have the bipod and need additional adapters etc that I cannot get them in a timely fashion or shipping will be prohibitively expensive.
I put a bipod in my "cart" and it didn't tell me they were out of stock yet the email I got back said they would be back in stock in a couple of weeks. I'm just scratching my head here.

Yea that doesn't sound like very good service. From what my brother says the owner is a really good guy. I'll let him know so he can pass it on and maybe help you out or at least make it easier on someone else in the future.

The first one is some other brand the other is a British seller that is much higher than their website price. I will have to look at Optics Planet again and see what they have. Schnee's also has the Javelin. Can't find anyone with the Spartan 300
Dennis if you're looking for something tall enough for sitting/kneeling/standing you might want to take a hard look at the Primo's Trigger Sticks Tripod. Much more stability and utility and it doesn't limit you the way a bipod does.

I am looking for a prone only bipod. I am tired of the heavy Harris bipods.
Gotcha. The problem with light and stable is that combination is hard to find and really bites you in the wallet when you do find it.

You'd think by now more people would be doing more with the carbon fiber/ceramic composites and the price would be coming down but I don't see it yet.

There's certainly a market for it if someone want to jump in with a good design.

Have you by chance looked at these? They are aluminum and the more I look at them and read up on them the more interesting I find them.
