With the measurements we took ( and it was a while ago ) it came out to about 260lbs. It was a male or a young female.

Nice. My wife and I recently returned from Hawaii. I have a cousin who lives there and has a boat. We caught 4 Marlin 3 smaller (<200#) and this big old girl.
We didn't get a length on her, but my cousin and I are both 6' 2".

Where were you. 709 is a nice fish. Had 2 in that category and broke the leader on one and pulled the hook at the boat on the other. Would have won money with both.

Big Island, Kona side. It was my first time fishing on the ocean and for that matter my first time seeing the ocean. Fished for five days for the cost of gas.
