I looked at the z3 (the swaro in the razor's price range) and hated the eyebox, your eye had to be in just the right place, it would be useless for close fast shots. That is the point of gitting a 3-10/2-10.

Never looked through a Z3, so I can't compare one of those to the Vortex or the Z5.
The Vortex is a nice scope. Just not up to the Z5. So much so that it was hard to be happy with it, in comparison to purchasing another Z5.
I purchased both of my Z5's off FleaBay. New but at discounted prices. So far so good. No repairs or warranty work required after 5yrs with the one and 3yrs use on the 2nd one. They're both mounted on rifles with muzzle brakes. Seem to be solid even under reverse recoil. Tracking has been spot on.
Didn't have the Vortex mounted long enough to really put it through the ropes. Sighting in and one hunting trip.

I used a VH6HD on a recent trip to Africa and loved it. It was a 3-18 but I also have the 2-12 on a 6.5 Creedmoor and love it as well. I do not think you would be unhappy with this scope choice!

I have both the vx6 non hd and the vx5hd and for the money I would go with the vx5hd in a 3x15 and don't look back! all around great scope!
i have the VX6 HD 4×24x52 and the 3-18x44 on my hunting rifles and I have had good luck so far. I like the electronic reticle level and they come with alumina caps. they are light weight and the glass is crystal clear.
