So I have a 280AI improved 40degree shoulder for sale. This gun was built by a local gunsmith named eddybo who has since passed away. He built the gun for a local guy to go on a hunt. The original guy never went on the hunt and the only loads shot through it was load work done by smith (do not know this number). The gun started out as a 280 ackley Remington which came before the standard 280 we see now mostly. I don't hand load so I had a gun smith ream it to a 280 ackley with the 40 degree shoulder. He used brass from a box of hornady precision hunter 162 gr eldx that I bought. I shot the whole box and averaged 1" groups with it. Hope all the terms I used are correct I'm no gun guru. So I'm guessing gun has less than 150 rounds down it. It's a Remington 700 action with I think a brux barrel but can not be positive the guy I got it from did not know but it was a brand new aftermarket barrel and eddybo did use a lot of brux barrels in his builds. It is bedded in a McMillanstock that looks like a regular Remington 700 stock. Just don't really see a need for gun anymore and I'm wanting some new parts for a new truck I got. I can text pics my number is 601-248-7036. I also have a vortex razor 3-15x42 sitting in tally rings I can sell as package or separate.

If that gun smith was from Mississippi you will not be disappointed in the work done to this gun. Buy with confidence !!

Gun and optics weigh 8.4 pounds so gun should be just under 7.5 pounds according to bathroom scales

it was originally chambered for the 35 degree RCBS version but I had a gun smith make it the 40 degree sammi spec so I wouldn't have to fire form brass now you can just buy 280ai ammo off the shelf for it

Sorry I'm not real good with all the wildcats and custom chamberings but it will fire the 280AI ammo off the shelf now
