One more suggestion just in case you think you could take one of those tenderizing hammers and make this work. Think big, real big, air hammer. And, what is the old saying about adding spirits. Drink the Vodka and throw the coyote away.

For me to eat a coyote, things will have to have horribly and irreversibly wrong and I will be the last person on earth. Because I will have eaten the second to last person on earth before I eat a coyote.

Coyote carcass is the only thing I've seen vultures turn their noses up at. Wouldn't touch them.

There is a good reason that we eat grazers rather than predators. I don't eat canines or felines, but that's just me.

OMG I had to have a little laugh when I read this thread, after all how long as mankind be on this earth, so you think over time someone would have tried to eat Coyote or Foxes , YES. I remember reading on Australia Shooting post here about someone wanting to try to eat Fox , a dimwit you say I say Yes too. Over the ages what we can eat and what we don't eat and also what is great to eat is pasted down from family to family ,people to people long before books were accessible to the conman man . So the lesson is "If its not on the menu somewhere there is a reason Why" lol

As I sit here in Taos, New Mexico reading this post literally listening to the coyotes outside my window...
Why would we eat coyote when we in the USA have so many other options? When I was in Laos, I went to a market where they sold everything from rats, bats, dogs & cats for consumption. Yes, strange to our innocent eyes, however when they don't have access to a nice grass fed Ribeye or a beautiful Chilian Sea Bass, this is what you eat. You get by with what you have...and fortunately, I have grocery stores that (don't) have Coyote.

...funny you should mention this. When we got off the boat from the Mekong, we sat down at this restaurant and had a delicious looking piece of steak, "meat". It looked great but tasted like s#/t. That could very well have been dog. We sent it back and ordered a chicken dish.

My personal rule has always been, if a dog won't eat it ... I won't eat it! This came about with me when I was much younger and someone was talking about eating coon. The only thing on a coon that a dog will eat is the coon's tailbone. Needless to say, I don't eat coon either.

Well some Asians will eat dog meat - and others absolutely will not! I imagine coyote tastes like dog but since they roam so much it's likely tougher as geo sez.
