Tikka 300 WSM what would you do?

Another vote for taking up reloading. I find it extremely enjoyable, encourages you to get more time behind the rifle and you can tailor your load to the rifle and the bullet to the hunt. A single stage starter kit, 300wsm dies and you're ready to roll.

Man if your shooting that good I would put the money els were maybe another tikka , here is my 300 wsm and it will shoot the lights out to 600 yards no problem

Like snookntarpon, I had a McMillan Hunter stock made for my Sako 75 (which is basically a higher end TIkka). My groups got noticeably better. The stick is light, too.

I would keep any "improvements" cosmetic. Sounds like she is a real keeper so turn the tables a bit and include her on the next trip. Hot springs? Spa and pampering while you are in the mountains then share some quiet time...Home run!

Oh no she would skin me if I didn't take her! She has been on every hunt I've done. She shot a beautiful cinnamon bear on our hunt in the Frank Church wilderness Area in Idaho. I asked her to marry me on the side of a cliff at 11000 feet. She said yes but wanted her ring made out of Elk Ivory. Took 3 more hunts before we got our bulls . She shot hers 200 yards . That was in Wyoming. So we took the gps coordinates of that spot and went back the next year and went back up the mountain and got married on that spot.

Okay guys here's my dilemma. The wife wants to get me something for my birthday for this gun. Now I don't shoot long distance or any kind of competition. It is my Elk rifle. I live in Wisconsin so don't get to do that much western hunting. I shoot factory Nosler AccuBond 180. Has a Trijicon 5x20 on it. Should I get a new Bartlein barrel a different trigger a stock or scope? I have shot Elk out 508 yards and steel at 900. So yes I am happy with the way the gun shoots. What do you think would be the best improvement or do I save the money for better spotter or towards another hunt?
I loved my FN Patrol Bolt rifle in 300wsm. great shooter.
