Looking at ordering some new brass for 300 Winchester. ADG is sold out so would you go with Norma, Nosler or Bertram? Is there another option that would be recommended? Will be looking at the moment to use 210 Berger Hunting VLD for upcoming elk hunt. After that, I will be trying the 200.20X bullet and 230's out to 1000 yards for range time. Will be going in Browning X-Bolt with 1:8 twist.

I've been using Nosler for my 300 Win Mag. They weight sort the brass and prep it for loading. At this point they have been fired twice and all looks good.

Thanks. I will take a look. I haven't shot any Nosler brass to date.
Good news, or bad, depending on how you look at it, Nosler brass is just overpriced Norma.
You get the same quality Norma brass less the flash hole chamfering or weight sorting.
If you do this yourself, then the weight sorting is easy, they don't vary much at all anyway.

I would buy the Norma, but just know that it will NOT take heavy loads, it is soft in the head/web due to being thin.

Cheers.

I have 40x, new, pieces of ADG brass. It's in the 20 count clam shell packaging.

Sure is nice looking brass. I had a load for the Nosler brass worked up and never made the switch to ADG.

You can PM if interested in the brass.

I've never had any problems with Winchester.

I used to use nothing but Winchester, even for long range ammo, and had no issues. However Winchester brass in the past few years is no comparison to 5+ years ago. I wouldn't touch Winchester rifle brass for anything I cared about now. Last few bags have had some unusable brass or otherwise terrible QC issues.

I use a lot of Lapua now, Nosler if Lapua isn't available.

I was looking to see if there was Lapua in 300 Winchester and didn't see it. Maybe I was at the wrong place. That's why I didn't list it.

They don't make any belted brass. The run of Lapua 300win mag brass that was done years ago was made by Norma to Lapua's specs. I doubt ADG will be out for long.

I use ADG, switched from Winchester. Its worth the wait in my opinion. Great stuff.
