I'm looking for a good Goat hunt myself. Would love to combine it with a moose, elk or Black bear. Looking at 2020 time frame.

why.I always like the Yukon , as there you pay your trophy fee as you harvest,BC you pay a good % of the trophy fee upfront!!!!!!!

When hunting BC or the Yukon, aside from having to go with an outfitter does that negate the need for luck in a draw? Seems that way from what I've been reading, and other than the higher costs that'd be a way to get at a couple different sheep and a goat without having to wait years...

So no draw for sheep with an outfitter in BC, and Yes on top of the outfitter Fee you only have to purchase an over the counter non resident licence/tag for the species hunted, it may well be included in the outfitter fee but best to clarify so no hidden costs.

I just checked the fees for BC and it's $620.00 for hunting licence
$180.00 for a Sheep Tag
That's cdn funds so only $45 bucks in US funds !!!!

Hey so I'm not trying to be "that guy" who corrects people's math but at current exchange rates $180cad= ~137.50usd. Just something to consider if you using that math to figure the cost of the rest of your hunt.

There are a ton of options in Alaska. I have assisted in a couple sheep/ caribou hunts that we where successfull in and have harvested a caribou and a moose up there but I have not took a sheep it requires a guide for non resident. I hunted all do it yourself with a family member that lives there. Lots of units and different options some are nearly impossible to draw but everyone has the same odds here. Good luck
