Alright. After much himing and hawing. Ive decided to sell this rifle. Its a 300 RUM on a custom action.

Its Stiller Predator LA with a 27" Shilen Stainless Select Match, bedded in a McMillan Gamescout in Woodland Camo. The action is painted tan and the bolt is fluted and black. I will include Talley medium 20moa 1 piece rings.

The rifle has 100 rounds down the barrel.

Thats the good...time for the bad. The rifle has caused me a great deal of frustration and it seems like 1 time it will shoot a good group less than .5" or therebouts and the very next time it'll shoot 1.5-2". I dont know what it is and dont care to spend any more time finding out. Hopefully, its just jinxed for me. Kidding aside, it could be my shooting but I can shoot many other rifles just fine and feel fairly consistent. Albeit, they are heavier rifles so maybe it really is just me.

The rifle cost $3500 to have built but Id sell for $1700.

Probably the combo of those Talley rings, heavy NF scope, and high recoil round. I'd put a good pic rail and decent rings on it.

The reason I asked about bullets and bedding is because I've experienced the behaviors you're seeing with Nosler Accubond Long Range and one other bullet which I don't recall in one rifle. And on a different rifle had poor bedding cause similar behavior. The bedding was done with Accuglass.

What's the twist, and we're you using factory ammo or handloads. Also, what specific brand of bullets and weight were you using? Lastly, can you remove the barreled action and take a pic of the bedding. Curious to see if they just bedded the recoil lug.
Thanks

Twist is 1 in 10. Ive shot Nosler, Hornady and Barnes factory loads and some handloads. I can't send a photo of the action right now. FWIW the whole action was originally bedded with full contact through the barrel shank. Since then, I've floated the barrel clear to the recoil lug.
