Im running a new to me B17 MGR. Absolutely love this scope and how accurate the clicks are. I have it on my 6.5 Creedmoor with a 20moa base. Im only getting 8.5 mils of elevation travel with the turrets. Then I only have 11 in the reticle for hold over. Is this typical. I have to max out my turret and still hold over when I go out there. I was at 1140 and dialed my 8.5 and then held over. I like to shoot a bit further so wondering if something is wrong or do I need to step up to a 30moa base. Thanks in advance.

Maybe im doing this wrong.
B17 24 mils of elevation divided by two for center is 12
20moa base is @ 5.8 mil

Shouldn't that give me @17+ elevation adjustment

Rail is correct
Savage 12 6.5 creedmoor with 26 inch Shilen
Scope model does not limit as far as I know or can find info on.

Some people have discovered that the barrel on their Savage isn't in line with the action. You may have one of those situations. I suppose going to a 40 moa base could fix the problem.

Custom build. Idont know about the alignment. I had a Cronus BTR on it before with the same base and no issues. Tons of travel. She still shoots 1/4 moa though.

US Optics has outstanding service response. Scope is working prefect with a full 16.75 mils of elevation after zero. Not sure what the problem was but a few turns of the screw and playing with the turret cured the issue. Dialed into 775m and punched a 6 inch plate. Dialed to 1150 and plugged a rock on the side of a cliff. Not to technical but thats all I had time for today. Ill do a true tracking soon as I get a chance.

If you figure out what you did to get it to work, please post a description. It might help the next guy with a similar problem.

Assuming by turning the screw you mean the one in the center of the top of the elevation turret, the EREK screw. That's what that's for. USO has great CS.

For those that run B-series US Optics these may be helpful. Niko is a USO factory shooter (and a helluva fun guy). He doesn't get super detailed or verbose in the explanation but people should have an easy enough time picking up the deets with his straight to the point presentation.
