Have my rifle that was just built. Running a 26inch 1:7 6groove. Have 143eldx, 210 federal, rl 19, and Lapua brass.

I'm curious as to what everoeve is getting for speeds with the 143. I'm trying to stay above 2900fps

Should get speeds comparable to those using 140 Bergers.

Had nothing but good results with Berger's vlds. 2 elk with a 140 vld in my Creedmoor and a bear and a whitetail with my 308 and 168 vlds and a few elk with the 300 wsm and 180s. Hope to get to try the 6.5-284 on a cow elk this fall

I've got bull elk here in October and deer I'll probably try it with. Need to hopefully get a load started this week. I might stick with my .300wm for elk in October. But definitely deer with my 6.5-284.

Going to do a break in this weekend with just off the shelf nosler ammo

2950 fps tends to be the sweet spot for 140 gr bullets, but anywhere from 2950 to 3000 fps is where most of us fall.
Retumbo works great with the 143 gr ELDX, and I'm getting 2976 fps with 57.6 gr. You will find your gun will like it somwhere from 56-58 gr with Retumbo.
I use H4831 with the VLD's, but it's a very accurate but slow load at 2899 fps with 51.7 gr.

Definitely appreciate the info! I'll grab some retumbo and work a few loads with each to see.
