Anyone shooting a 7-300wsm

I have a variety depending on the use.

A typical hunter rifle I use has a 26" barrel running 2975+ without exceeding the pressure limits. This is also an accuracy node for at least this rifle.

26" barrel 2930-2970 with H1000. 24" barrel you could easily hit the same node with RL26.

The case is not full and the pressure is at the top of the range.

You can also reach the same range with MRP2, VVN-560, IMR-7828 and Ramshot Magnum according to my notes.

The better solution though in my tests was the potential of Retumbo which operated at a lower pressure point but in the same velocity range. This will need to looked at more closely in the very near future.

Since you're not getting the info you want, try Broz over at "Long Range Only". Broz has had four 7/300 win mag. I think he told me that he was getting 3150 fps / 180gr Burger/ with a 28" barrel. I shoot a 7 mag and when I burn this one, it will be replace with a Hart chambered in the 7/300. Good luck!

I have a 7 RM with the standard 9.5 twist. I have not been able to find an accurate load for more than 160 grain bullets so if you are going to 180 probably not a good option.
 
I've in the process of building a rifle for F Class shooting in this caliber. Have lots of 300WSM Winchester brass and it sizes quite easily to 7mm. Been waiting on a match chamber reamer for the Berger Hybrids for 3 months so no shooting data yet but regular REAMERS are available. Settled on this wildcat after much reading that speaks of its efficient use of powder and the awesome selection of 7mm projectiles
 
I own a couple 7mm-300wsm's, built by SSG's Nathan Dagley ("308 nate" on here). Great, accurate caliber, simple to make brass and reload for; I expand 270wsm up to 7mm then size with either my Redding S Type FL with a .312 bushing, or with my Forster FL non-bushing die custom honed to .311 depending on what I cut the necks to. Boringly accurate and easy recoil even with my lightweight Pierce Ti long action and 28" Proof carbon fiber barrel. Norma case cut to 2.08" with a 180gr Berg VLD over 65.7grs of H1000, COAL of 3.100" gives me 3000 on the nose with more in the tank if I want; I didn't see pressure signs until 67.0 grains.
However, once that wears out, my next build will likely be a 7saum on a Borden Alpine Magnum Ti long action and Proof carbon barrel. Same ballistics with less powder in a smaller case, and ready to go, off the shelf brass (after neck-turned and annealed of course).
 
Hate to burst your bubble. But Borden stopped making titanium actions. I recently wanted one and he told me he stopped because they took way to much time to make. I ended up going with a defiance xm with an internal length of 3.2

You mentioned light recoil how much does your rifle weigh roughly?
I've thought about the SAUM but I have a 6.5 SAUM so you can see the risk there..
Also I'm tired of looking for expensive brass that s often super hard to find
 
Once your barrel Burns's out, I would switch it over to a 7 saum. Do some numbers and you will see that a 6.5 saum doesn't beat out the 7 saum in any catagory.

Except recoil in a 5.8 lb rifle!
