What game bags

All good ideas here, I use sheets and just regular white game bags then I put the white bags in a heavy garbage bag so I don't get blood all over my back while packing out. I also recommend carry some type of light weight tarp to set meat on while you are deboning in the field so it doesn't get full of dirt and grass if it there isn't any snow yet.

I found new heavy duty laundry bags on a military surplus ad several years ago. Still using them @ $4 each.

+1 on the light weight tarp. I like to use 3 ft or so square pieces of building wrap (Tyvek). Light and meat dosen't "stick" to it. Keep it upwind so dust & weed seeds don't end up on the meat as you maneuver around your carcass. Fold it over the meat chunks if it is real windy. Meat cools as you butcher and then we bag in pillow cases for the pack out.
