CCI Subsonic 22

From what I've seen they are very accurate. I've killed black birds at 50 yards and I can consistently hit steel at a hundred yards. I find that impressive because they only do 710 fps or something in that area. They probably aren't match grade but they're good

Hi fellas, anybody use CCI Subsonic 22 rimfire ammo. I've been using this ammo for a few years now and out to about 75 yards in my Marlin XT they really kick butt on Groundhogs,(or Woodchucks depends on what part of PA. you're from how ya call them). Also been using the Subsonics for Squirrel hunting and they are accurate enough to take head shots out to 50 yards or a little further.
Are they hollow points ?

The CCI subsonic HP do seem to be soft lead with a lot of lube on them so they do not lead up a barrel. They expand well in small animals. They make quite a thump when they hit an animal.
I have never tried the CCI that breaks into like 5 pieces on impact. They would be good for varmit hunting. But, I do not like pieces of lead in squirrels. Even head shooting I would be afraid of the pieces ending up in the shoulders or back meat.
The thing that is funny I have 2 CZ 452's one an early varmit weight barrel and a American Classic. The Classic will shoot CCI Subsonic's and CCi Mini-Mags to the same point of aim at 50 yds. The varmit barrel will not.
