Just as the title states, I am looking for opinions on Whidden FL bushing dies with micrometer seating die, or Redding Type S FL bushing dies with micrometer seating die. I currently run nothing but Redding in all other calibers, but I can actually purchase Whidden dies for cheaper in this caliber.
Any thoughts/ opinions would be appreciated.

I have the Redding type s neck die, body die and comp seater.

I mainly use the neck die, then the body die. Never had a case separation yet. I am on my 5th load in one batch of brass.

I don't know enough about Whidden dies to comment, but have heard great things.

Cheers.
:)

I use a redding 300 RUM sizer with the correct bushing for my edge and since I load for a 338 RUM also I use the 338 RUM redding comp seater die. I do have two sets of whidden dies for wild cats and they are really nice but my edge dies were not to bad on price

Not in the chambering you are asking but I have a John Whidden made me a custom made dies for my 30 LARA out of 3 fired brass off my rifles chamber chamber. They are awesome dies and pleased with it. I also have a hydraulic forming die to go with it.

I've got a set of Whidden dies for my 6.5 Sherman and I've been impressed with them. For my 338 RUM build, I just picked up a set of Redding match dies after reading so many great reviews. Hopefully I can compare the quality soon.

I have the whidden 338 Edge full length and seater dies, they are really nice! after several hundred rounds I have yet to stick a case, they are like glass inside.. unlike the two Redding dies I originally had! I changed over because I kept sticking cases in BOTH Redding dies I had.
