New scope for lightweight rifle

I just looked through the Zeiss v6 a few days ago and as far as glass goes it will beat everything else you have listed as was stated previously, I personally stay away from Leopold due to how many show up for sale here says a Lot to me, but I've pretty much gone to Bushnell for everything I have, I really like the glass and the reticles they track well, they are my personal favorite

I concur with snookntarpon - the Leupold VX6HD 3-18 with illuminated TMOA reticle is an amazing scope. My only suggestion would be to go with the 50mm objective instead of the 44mm. My go to scope was the Nightforce NXS 2.5-10x42 but after using the VX6HD I now prefer the Leupold.

That tikka is a sweet stick. Is the VX-6HD worth the extra money over the VX-5HD
Same glass in both but the VX-6 has a few more features like the internal level, illumination is standard, 6:1 zoom vs 5:1, ...If you never used a VX-6 You won't miss the bells & whistles...but I do enjoy a 3-18x verses 3-15x
The VX-5 3-15x44 can be had on gunbroker for $800
To me the glass is better than NXS, way better than a PST, better low light than Sightron S3(which by the way you should also be looking at). Waiting 6 months to get a Zeiss back made me quit them(HD5 issues).
Both the VX-5 & 6 are very compact and lightweight, I have several of the std & HD version and have had no tracking issues. Warranty issues will take forever with Zeiss, not as long with Swaro, Leupold is fast as they are in Oregon.
Leupold turret clicks feel a bit mushy compared to others but you get used to them.
Just my experience

I had an issue with the paralax adjustment knob slipping on an old zeiss conquest 6.5-20x50 I sent it in last year and within 2 weeks a brand new hd5 5-25x50 was delivered to my door!
Zeiss has my business for life.
To answer Tidus56 I like the zmoa reticle, looks like the Leopold tmoa with each hash equal to 2 moa

If yall are loving your Leupolds, then I think the VX-5HD checks all the boxes and saves me some money. Thanks for the first hand experience and not some paid for review online.
