Dont see a whole lot of difference between these to models other than the Price......optics are the same other than the magnification ratio's

Has to be a big difference to reflect the Price difference.??

I had my 3-15 at the range today for the first time! Low light capabilities are phenomenal, and it's just crazy clear glass. The 15 power was plenty for me to go out to 1000 yards.

I have both. There are quite a few differences and most of them fall into the "nice to have" category. In addition to what's been said about the different magnification ratio, the 6HD has illumination with all reticles, electronic level indicator, and the ZL windage turret. The 6HD also has more swag in the box with Alumina covers and an extended magnification adjustment lever.

It really comes down to how many "nice to haves" you want and whether or not it's worth the price difference. For me, the VX-5HD with an Impact 29 reticle that is attainable for less than $800 is the better value.

I have two of the vari x 6 scopes. Only one has the electronic level indicator. This was the reason I bought the second one and not another Huskemaw. Gotta say I am disappointed with it, in the brightness of the day, you cannot really see the illuminated reticle even at the highest brightness. I will have to put an external level on the scope. It would be fine and does work in low light, but I find it not too practical.

What I don't understand is they offer the windplex and the impact 29 in the 44mm scope, but not in the 56. That is the only thing keeping me from buying.

The website is kind of funky, hard to find certain stuff, but all the leupold scopes I looked at were over 25% off.
