Looks like I got stiffed! PM'd this guy "huntaxhunta" worked out the deal on this scope via email, and pm's. He updated his post as sold Sunday night. I pm'd him Monday morning asking if he'd received the postal money order I sent him, he say's he did. Said he would send tracking info when scope was on it's way. Crickets ever since, won't respond to pm's or email. I've bought and sold a few scopes and guns on this site with no issue's until now. Thank you to those folks that I have delt with in the past.

I feel for ya, I was interested in a few good used deals on here but backed out for fear of what just went down with you. It is a shame because not everyone is an *** but you never know who you are talking to on the web. Hope you get it straightened out.

Dang I really hate to hear that. I've bought and sold here and a couple of other sites without fear. Many time several hundred or over $1K switching hands.

Three things I like to do on a large purchase. Review the sellers post history / content, review trader history then make a phone call. If the seller or buyer isn't willing to talk on the phone it's a red flag. If a red flag pops up during the call, resolve it or back out.

I know this doesn't help and I certainly hope you get it worked out.

If you don't this guy needs to be reported and sent to permanent BANNED camp! If they don't then give him a deserving report in the trader history.

People that do this make me sick to my stomach. I notice when clicking on his profile link it says user profile unavailable. Did he delete his account? If he doesn't respond I'd be posting the address where you sent the money order and try and get some help getting "in touch" with him.

I joined this site not too long ago and have already made numerous transactions with no issues and have dealt with great people. I just made a $2000 rifle purchase and never would have made that without taking the time to talk a couple of times to the individual personally. Did the same on another high value trade. Again, I don't know the answer to weed these individuals out other than that and following your gut.

I knew it was too cheap-Red Flag.
Then when I checked his history-didn't look solid.
If not a well known member or big $ --- I must talk with them.
Still nothing is fool proof.
Sorry for you falling for this...

Obviously this person had intended to commit fraud. Unfortunately for me, I got complacent. All of my previous transactions went off without a hitch. It's been a long time since I've been taken, well except for by family. lol. At the end of the day it won't effect my way of living, but eventually it will his, whomever he is. Thanks for the support of everyone on this website. Much appreciated.

i hope the guy has a good reason for not responding. seems like since he told you he received the money he may be ok and maybe life just got in the way. I hope this works out for you.

I'd post the city and state you sent the money to , I bet there's a member on here that lives close and may be willing to pay him a visit. If he's in central Mississippi, I'd be glad to go see him.
