200 ELD-X 300 WSM RL-26 ladder test

After reading this i would like to do some workups.... Where are you guys getting your load data for rl26?

Berger has data on their website for the 180 Elite Hunter, they start at I think 69grs of RL26. That and if you know anyone who has quickload, you can get a safe starting point I'm sure.

I have some RL26 and a assortment of bullets to try. 178 ELDX and 200 ELDX. Seeing your results and thinking of backing off 2-3 Gr and working up. Did you have a stick bolt or pressure singns anywhere. Please all chime in. I've had a helluva time getting a good load to shoot out of my 300 WSM.

I use RL26 in my 6.5 Creedmoor with great results shooting a 140 Elite Hunter. 48 gr getting 2992 with 3.6 SD. Thanks for any info you share.

No sticky bolt or pressure in mine. I'm using older run Norma brass that is quite a bit lighter than newer runs. So, when I switch to my new brass I expect that I will have to reduce my charge, but for now, I'm right around 69 grains with a 200 ELDX .020" off in Norma brass with a CCI250.

I have some 1x fired Norma also that is older. Thanks again.

My older brass weighs 237 grains and the newer lot weighs 253. I haven't measured the volume difference, but generally that much difference in weight means considerable capacity difference.

I'll weigh my Norma for reference. I just picked up a fresh 100 piece lot of Winchester brass and am in the process of prepping it. Deburring primer flash hole and finishing off inner and outer neck, etc.

I'm surprised at the consistency of Win brass! My old 300 WSM brass weighs in at 227avg with about 4 loadings on it.
