Accubond Long Range accuracy/precision

I run the 142 in a 264 WM and 6.5x55. Both get very good accuracy. The 6.5x55 is the leader there - .33" group at 100 w/ SD of 8. Haven't taken it 'long' though. In the 264 I'm getting .5-.6" groups with SD in the low teens. Took an elk in '16 with it pretty much DRT. Took a 2nd shot to get him to make up his mind. Recovered that bullet after traveling through about 5' of elk. 59gr was what was left.
I've found they work better a bit further from the lands than some of the other bullets. My 264 is .1 off the lands, the 6.5x55 is .05 off the lands.

I forgot that I had loaded the 168LRABs in my wsm I don't have the length to the lands but I know I was running them at 2.950 oal surely a ways off and they were shooting good to 600 I think that I read somewhere that the ogive is on the soft side and why they need the jump but I am pretty sure that I ran some up close too I just cant find any data on that

I've had very good grouping w/ the ABLR 210gr. In.308 cal...running .10 off- out of 300 win mag. I was getting just over 3000fps w/ norma mrp 77.2 gr 3.590 coal... the nose isn't nearly as steep as berg vld 210's & were fairly easy to get dialed. I didn't need to use vld seating stem either. Was using redding comp dies.

I use 129s in my Creed at 2950fps. The 142s in my 6.5WSM at 3140FPS. 175s in my 28Nosler at 3200FPS. They all need between .05 and .1 jump to fly right and all group under .5MOA. The Creed will hold that out past 800 yards. I jug tested the 175s and 195 Bergers to see which would perform better. I used a fast twist 7-08 with Trail Boss to simulate long range impacts and the 28 with full loads to test close impacts. Both tested well at 1400-1500Fps. At over 3000FPS the Berger would grenade and the ABLR would maintain about 50%. Nuff said.

I'm getting 2.5in groups at 550yds. Sendero sf2 7rem Mag and the 168 ablr. Shot my bull at 211yds and got a pass through(not a lg one but still 2 holes). Bull was down in 30yds. Mv 2990 with .120 of jump. Hard not to like with my results.

Westbrook....did you find much for bullet frags inside the critter...
The pass through has to be just the last 1/2" or so of the bullet...and at 211 yards at probably close to 2900 fps...it had to have exploded...
What bone damage did you find...

But the meat looked nothing like described in the previous post by 26reloader. In fact the only meat I threw away was the immediate area around the hole and any part I found the small pieces of lead.

Here are the pictures of the elk that took the 168lrab...
One shows the hole just inside the hide...the other with meats removed from ribs...
And the other showing how far the blood flowed up into the neck of the animal....

Holy smokes... my results were nothing like that. Did you hit the shoulder? Because we used the same bullet and got completely different results. Was it at least a 1shot kill?
