Reloader 26 in 6.5 creedmoor

I'd start at 44.0 for peterson brass. 2.820 and 2.855 shoot very very well at a variety of speeds for me. Load a ladder and have some fun. Don't just jump to what others have posted. Your rifle is not the same as others. I have a factory chamber with a headspace .002 over saami minimum. A custom chamber can be throated quite a bit differently and may be fine or not.

I think I worded my quesion poorly...sorry.
My question is: what is the lowest pressure that RL-26 will operate efficiently?
With a 30" barrel on my 6.5 CM, I can run lower pressures, and get fairly good speeds.
Thanks

Well I have never loaded any of the smaller calibers so this is new to me.

The 308 converted cases don' have the capacity of the dedicated 6.5 CM cases so I didn't use any R26 in them and I only went up to 47.5gr in the 6.5 CM cases so it' still in the shoulder but not close to being in the neck.

I found a load for Hybrid 100V that got up to the shoulder so I loaded all my converted brass with it to use as break in ammo for my barrel.

I hope to see what this little guy can do tomorrow!

It' the closest rifle in the picture...just finished it today.

How do you like your Boyd featherweight on your 6.5x284? I may order one for my 280 Ackley.

Rl 26 is kinda funny. It may work at low pressure but in my very limited experience. The powder will be avg as compared to other powders then all of the sudden you hit the node and it shoots tiny with sd's below 5fps or so. H100V for me gradually got better then peaked and tapered off. Clearly defining where to run. I developed my load in cold weather and now I'm adjusting some to stay right in the middle of my node. I have been playing with IMR4955 some. First time out I shot 2 shots and pulled the whole lot due to pressure. I came back 2 grains lower for my max in the ladder. With 142 smk's it shot a .2 @ 43.0 and 2844 with a 12fps es. I have been away and not played any more.

I like it a lot. I had not noticed how long it was until I got the wife' stock in. Im 5' 10" with average length arms and it fits like it was cut just for me.

Hers is a lot shorter which is a good thing because she is very petite.

Not sure why but I'm seeing pressure sooner than others. Shot today with the 147 eldm set .02" off, once fired nosler brass, WLR primer, and RL 26 from 45.5 gr to 47 gr. Results of 5 shot strings. 30" barrel. 100 yds.

45.5 gr RL 26
2886
2873
2879
2881
2886
.51" group. Shows potential. Going to try to fine try to tune this load and see if I can improve.

46 gr
Avg 2914 and .80"
Brass showing some ejector marks and primers starting to flatten some.

46.5 gr
Avg 2976 and .67"
Brass with ejector marks, primer pretty flat and bolt a bit stiff, so I didn't fire the 47 gr load.

Yes that is odd, with a 30" barrel you should have seen closer to 3000 fps without signs of pressure. What Chrono device are you using?
