I'm trying to decide if it's worth it try. I've read tons of posts and watched videos, and like everything else some love it some don't. I'm thinking of trying it out on two brand new builds-300wm with a SAAMI chamber, and a 338improved.
What are your thoughts and experiences please?

Work up bare bullet loads and break-in prior to trying HBN. If you don't, you will have no idea what HBN will do in your rifle. Log bare bullet data and after your barrel settles, you can experiment.

I use it in every rifle, except my two plinking ARs.
Mainly because I have several thousand rounds of 55 grain fmj. that's not coated.
When done properly, it reduces ES, and pressure. You can either run your load at reduced pressure, or work up to a higher velocity. I just wing it, and get a load with good velocity and low ES. I am trying to determine if it really protects the throat. So far, I haven't had any change in my jump to the lands. But I also don't shoot my rifles hot. So I'm not sure if it helping or not. I think that it does, mainly because, I have a friend in the industrial lube business, and his data on high temps and Hex boron, has me convinced that it works. So between that, and my ES flattened, I swear by the stuff.
