Which objective for Swarovski BTX???

So I just picked up a BTX eyepiece and I'm torn between which objective to get. I've spent a fair amount of time behind the 95mm and was planning on that but a buddy told me the 65 was not to be overlooked. With 5 less power he said the low light was right with the 95. With that being said, I'm wondering about maybe getting the 85mm objective for the best of both worlds. Anyone have any input? It'll get packed everywhere no matter the size or weight. That is not what's holding me back on the 95mm

If you're not concerned with weight and bulk , absolutely go with the 95 .

Thanks. It's going to be hard not to but I'd like to hear from someone that has had some time behind the 85 before I pull the trigger if at all possible. I'll be getting the 1.7x magnifier also and selling my non HD 65mm spotter. I don't really feel like dropping the coin on a 95 and a 65 like quite a few have.

Well I found a deal that is most likely too hard to pass up on an 85mm demo model objective. It's from a reputable source that I've bought from before but I've made an inquiry about the condition and am waiting to hear back before I pull the trigger. Guess it's for the same reasons I have an 8 twist 270 Sherman on a model 70 crf action... I like having stuff a little different than most

You'll be happy with it , I have a Swarovski 80mm HD that's very nice, the X series is a step up for sure .

Yeah I've got an old non hd 65mm spotter, had the old 15's and now the new hd 15's and have looked through just about everything they've made. Only thing I carry that doesn't have a hawk on it is 10x geovids and nightforce rifle scopes. It's guaranteed mint condition with a warranty so it looks like I'm going to have an 85mm btx with the 1.7 to zoom in and pick stuff apart.

Got a fair bit of time behind the btx in the last few days. I have NO regrets! Very happy with the 85mm objective. It's like looking through my hd 15's with twice the power! Same bright, crisp image. As I suspected though, my outdoorsman's pan head is a little over matched with it so I'll play with balance a little first but may look into a fluid head eventually to better handle the weight.
