Local Walmart stopped selling Ruger firearms and you must be to buy ammo.

Just what the title says Walmart's getting on the anti gun wagon.

I called Walmart just like I did Dick's. The guy said they are getting lots of calls by guys like me telling them they will not be shopping there anymore. I hope we can make a difference.

I said in another thread that I was not bothered by companies that make a decision not to carry a product as long as they are not forced by our Gov to do so. I agree that it will definitely influence my decision making as to where I will choose to shop. Also it will not bother me one bit to sell a weapon to anyone who has been disenfranchised by the outfit that has decided not to sell. We will be happy to order the desired weapon and ship it to your ffl.

I've lived in 2 neighborhoods where Wal-Mart came in, can't recommend it, don't shop there, and quite frankly I doubt much of their elite clientele can legally buy firearms.

There's about a million reasons why people don't like Wal-Mart! I wouldn't work there if it was the last place on earth and they paid me 100.00 an hr! Purely white trash and disgusting...
Aside from the fact EVERYTHING in the store is the cheapest piece of crap of quality, hence the term 'you get what you pay for'.
They run every small business out of every small town.
I could go on and on. Pretty much the biggest reason I never set foot in there is due to the idiots that roam the isles!

That scenario is not working here in Grants Pass, Oregon. There are two old gun stores and now we have a new one. Maybe we're not a small town is, though. When Walmart came here this town had 15,000. Now it has 35,000 population.

In the past I would shop there because some times good enough is. I don't feel superior to others so I fit right in.

Just remember...Wal-Mart started as a small family owned business...you can hate them for many reasons, but not for being successful.

Don't know any that used eminent domain to take peoples houses either. Got no issue with business growth, got issues with corporate welfare, grants subsidies, or "special" tax breaks.

The issues are the same when it comes to what's good for the community in my mind, and in my experience none of the above serve a community. A few councilmen may benefit, but overall the +/- $$$$ comes in negative for all the above mentioned players in my opinion.

I'm unaware of a family owned brothel, (unless one considers the Mafia a real family) but I imagine if legalized a nationwide chain of brothels could match those numbers.

The government is the only one capable of losing money on alcohol, and prostitution. They took over the famous Mustang Ranch in Nevada while there was a tax dispute. Their mandate requires them to run a business while the legal process takes place. They bankrupt the place.

For the record the closest I've ever been to such a place was the year my partner drew an antelope and deer tag in the same year. We were driving US 50 which is nick named the "Loneliest Road in America". Miles of more miles, and an absolutely, straight, bare road, it got late, and time to pull over and sleep (trailer). Nothing, more nothing. Finally saw some lights, that as we got closer turned into an RV park, trailers, campers and looked like we wouldn't have to wake anybody to check in. Yeah you guessed it, in the absolute middle of no where, is a thriving whore house. We drove the rest of the night. Had breakfast in a place that had place mats that were maps of every brothel in the state.

Oh yeah... their cheap ***, illegal Chinese, lead toys, is a lot more problem than lead based bullets!

I stopped shopping at walmarts years ago when they started taking the Anti Gun Nuts viewpoint. It has not hindered me in the least and has only helped the small shops.

Although It was interesting seeing the Walmart people, I really don't miss that part of it either.

With so many stores now in China, And all the products sold by them they may be influenced by them.

We still have the right to shop there, but I just choose not to. Besides. they don't need my money anyway.
