SCHOOLS- no longer soft targets

A friend of mine went to his grand daughters basketball game. At the entrance was this sign."Employees and staff are armed." He ask how long the sign had been up. They said quite a while. Our legislature wants to do something. Maybe they should make this a requirement in all schools.

Sounds like my kind of hometown...
If you don't mind...where can kids be protected like that...

Awesome. My wife is a public school teacher and is a good shot. I'd love it if she could carry.....to protect her kids and herself. It would make those cowards think twice.

Trump had a conference today on school shootings. Several young people there speaking out about guns. Trump ask for solutions and some one brought up arming teachers and staff. Trump ask who supports this? Few raised their hand. The kids wanted gun regulation. One young woman threatened we will soon be able to vote and we are coming for you.

People are killed by planes, cars, busses, drunk driving, drugs (including folks high on pot), hammers, knives, and other objects. Why are legal firearms the only object that people want to get rid of? How about getting rid of criminals? Maybe we should open more mental institutions to take care of those who pose a threat to all of us. I agree that our schools should be protected by armed staff. All of our government are protected, schools should be as well...

I'm watching cnn town hall. These kids are exactly that, kids. I got it they experienced a tragedy, and it's awful, but that doesn't automatically make them experts on constitutional law and the resident experts on determining what rights I'm allowed to have. It's absolutely infuriating seeing how easily they are willing to **** away their rights for perceived safety. I've been around the world, and I have personally seen how ****** people are to each other. To think that people are stupid enough to believe that making some random law will prevent murder, severely under estimate the evilness and resourcefulness of their fellow man. The second amendment is for everyone. If you chose to not use that right, then so be it, but do not limit us on our rights because you're scared.

And now we will wait for this thread to be deleted. After watching CNN tonight I'm signing up for a lifetime membership to the NRA.

The problem is that those kids are being educated by liberal libtards. They are not getting American History anymore libtards figure if you ignore it or deny it, it did not happen, some schools don't even teach kids to write in cursive anymore. The next problem is that in less than 5-10 years those libtard educated students will be the voting force. Us older generations are not going to be here forever and sadly guess what else will not be here forever. We need to reform our schools immediately or our "land of the free" will be the "land of the sheep".

I am in total agreeance of arming our teachers if we can find ones smart enough to know which end to hold where.

Could not agree more. No more cursive writing taught; and now this core math crap that Einstein wouldn't be able to figure out. My children that have children have spent a lot of time trying to help them figure out how to do this core math crap. The new generation of teachers entering the system have been brain washed and indoctrinated by the liberal professors in our colleges. I have a niece that attended college and during her freshman year an English prof. gave the class an assignment to write an essay about their genitals. My niece in front of the whole class wanted to know what that load of crap was all about; and then told her it had nothing to do with the literature class she enrolled in. She was told to do the essay or fail the assignment. So my niece wrote that it worked and performed just as the grand-creator had intended it to. Now that opened up a whole different can of worms with the professor on the discussion of evolution and creation. This is a small example of liberal logic. But I totally agree with armed security in our schools plus other security measures implemented. ctw

I find in ridiculous that none of these kids marched on the jail and demanded that the evil puke be put to death before the sun rises the second day after his deeds... They want to blame a gun but not the evil loser that had his finger around the trigger... I think anyone with common sense would be able to tell that the real protest should be against the killer not the inanimate object the loons all want to misdirect all their talking points to. I guess its alright with all of them that he will get millions of dollars of tax payers money spent on his defense and housing and most likely live a long life in some prison ... This is what needs to be protested against...

. I don't want teachers carrying guns... Maybe retired former special forces personnel...Metal detectors and searches when required..Make it as hard to get into school as it is to get on an airplane...

This is what we have let our society come to. When in kindergarten they start teaching your kids if you yell at them call this number because that is child abuse ect... No respect, poor me,,, safe space, and don't listen to your parents. They are living in the past and just don't understand your problems or generation. In my state they want to start full day tax payer pre-school and start indoctrinating kids at 4 years old now... Guess a few must be slipping by when they wait till kindergarten...

I'm all for defensive measures in schools. With that said I think we need to look at curbing the desire that the evil doers have. I have not yet heard this thrown out. It was slightly touched in an earlier post here. I think we need public hangings. And a firm message to all that if you choose to bad things the be prepared for bad things to happen to you. We have got to quit making stars out of monsters. Look at Manson.

Look at all the columbine documentaries!! They made those dudes look like rock stars. The media and those documentaries blamed everyone but those two jerks. The media still uses columbine as the standard to measure other school shootings.

I would have to agree with Rocky Mountain but would add that I would make it so he could get his toes on the ground and it would last 5-10 minutes... Maybe I am a sadist but these sickos need to be taught a lesson not made famous and showered with attention and coddled by Doctors and Lawyers for the next 10 years.. Make all the News Media stream the Execution live on every station and in every school like they used to the space launches... But this would never happen....... cruel and unusual punishment protections only apply to the evil losers out terrorizing an entire Nation not the 1-in 10 million that need to be made an extreme example of to save the masses from the terror of future madmen... The men and women pretending to protect you and all your civil rights that wear the black robes will make sure that we can never try and curb this behavior by making an example out of any of them no matter what they did to their many many victims... And their Victims are not just the people that were killed ... Its a whole nation and everyone that lives here...As far as I am concerned... If there is absolutely no doubt a person did a crime like this scum did ... he should have no rights
